Time for Life

This song is so significant to me for a couple of reasons…

Number one, it’s about a subject matter I feel really strongly about. I find life often is a futile struggle trying to get ‘where you need to be’ and it’s very easy to let the things that are most important to us fall to the wayside.

This song is about acknowledging the struggle but not accepting it. Rather making a conscious decision to make time for the people and things that matter to us. After all, life is short and time is precious!

The second reason…it’s the first song of this album that I debuted live on Facebook. It feels like the start of the journey. I’d tried writing it for so long (weeks before the first lockdown) but it wasn’t until I started going live that I was able to finish it. Having an audience on Facebook really helped me get it over the line…and write many other songs subsequent to that…
